buildingcommunityWORKSHOP (bcWORKSHOP), a nonprofit committed to designing justice through community engagement, has put together a robust selection of resources on community engaged design practice across the country. The web-based People’s Design Library includes a collection of how-to guides, a number of descriptive and inspiring case studies, and a collection of publications from bcWORKSHOP’s own projects in Dallas, Houston, and the Rio Grande Valley. Note that the collection is still growing, so you’re welcome to suggest publications to be featured on the site. As the folks at bcWORKSHOP put it, “It’s the right of the people to shape their city,” and they want us to “exercise that right, and have some fun doing it!”
